Melanie Feeney-Lewis and Jennifer Greco coordinate ParishCare ministry of Holy Cross offering welcome, parish and local resource information especially for our elderly or sick parishioners (all ages), funeral assistance and other supportive services.   • Spiritual resources for homebound and sick, including information about pastoral visits, anointing, weekly Holy Communion, to the sick, visitation and prayer. Call 996-5109 x12,  email holycrossparishcare@yahoo.com

  • Audio tapes and/or printed copies of Sunday homilies & Scriptures.

  • Maintain parish list of hospital, nursing home and homebound parishioners for visitation.

  • Parish sick list for prayer support.

  • Church guidelines re funerals, cremation (link) burial services, etc.

  • Funerals; we coordinate with families, Fr. Paul, funeral home, music ministry, reception team, and assist with scripture choices (link) available also in ParishCare office, or we will email or mail as requested. FYI, New American Bible online @  usccb.org/nab/bible/index.shtml

  • Bereavement; we strive to be available as requested offering after death support (prayer, consolation, telephone, office and home visits arranged).

  • Pre-plan funeral liturgies for those wanting to have a choice in scriptures, songs, etc. for their own funeral service. We offer suggestions, ideas and choices for individuals to write into their personal pre plan booklet so as to assist their families when they must make the arrangements.

  • Annual Nov. Mass of Remembrance (deceased parishioners past year).

  • Parish Care helps with Anointing of the Sick at home, in hospital, nursing homes and communal services in the church.

    • We invite our parishioners and families to contact us whenever you or a loved one are sick, or will be undergoing a medical procedure, so we can help coordinate our parish pastoral care with you. Melanie and Pat

  • (EM) Extraordinary ministers to the sick-carry Communion from weekend Mass to homebound.

  • Visitation to Nursing Homes, and/or homebound parishioners.

  • Telephone calls, and cards to the homebound; occasional transportation.

  • Meals to the sick in coordination with Columbiette’s Angel Meals outreach.

  • Funeral receptions coordinated with the Columbiettes and volunteers.

  • Bereavement ministry volunteers.

  • Office/computer assistance needed. 

  • We welcome your ideas for volunteer opportunities from your previous parishes.
